Do you work, live or play in the Solano Subbasin?

Groundwater in the Solano Subbasin
There’s a chance you may depend on groundwater from the Solano Subbasin if you live or work in eastern Solano County or the western Delta region. In this video, explore the Solano subbasin and what role you can play in protecting its groundwater sources for today and future generations.

Groundwater Virtual Learning
In the fall of 2020, the Solano Resource Conservation District (SRCD) provided virtual groundwater-themed lessons to 22 fifth and sixth-grade classes in schools across eastern Vacaville, Dixon, and Rio Vista. A total of 642 students participated in virtual pre-lessons, lessons, and post-lesson activities. Each component of these lessons was intended to build the students’ understanding of the Solano subbasin and promote groundwater stewardship. Here is a sample post-lesson video created by Aria, a 5th-grade student from Vacaville.
